Anne Sofie von Otter, Nils-Erik Sparf, Mime Brinkmann, Bengt Forsberg
Anne Sofie von Otter, mezzo-soprano, is one of the finest Swedish singers ever. In addition to opera engagements at the world's top venues, she has an extensive recording and recital schedule. The latter often include innovative and transnational projects. Among her conductor collaborations include Carlos Kleiber, Claudio Abbado, Marc Minkowski and Sir Simon Rattle. She is a regular guest at leading festivals and has achieved great success as a lieder interpreter during her more than 30 year collaboration with Bengt Forsberg. She has appeared often at Allhelgonakyrkan.
Nils-Erik Sparf, violin, for several decades one of Sweden's foremost musicians, has collaborated with many of Sweden's most famous performing artists. He has been concert master of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and the Royal Opera Orchestra of Stockholm and is currently concert master of the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble and the Uppsala Chamber Soloists. He is active as a soloist and has made many CD-recordings. Since 1992 he is a member of the Royal Swedish Musical Academy. He has appeared many times at Allhelgonakyrkan.
Bengt Forsberg, piano, is KVAH's artistic leader and has been responsible for chamber music in Allhelgonakyrkan for more than 30 years. Among his regular partners are Anne Sofie von Otter, cellist Andreas Brantelid and Nils-Erik Sparf. As a soloist, he has performed with many orchestras, quite often with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, and he has given solo recitals in, for example, London's Wigmore Hall. Bengt has released many CDs, including acclaimed recordings with Anne Sofie von Otter.
Mime Yamahiro Brinkmann, cello, was born in Japan and educated at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she specialized in historical performances of cello and viola da gamba.
Brinkman is a member of Drottningholm's Baroque Ensemble and plays in a variety of ensembles around the world, such as the Bach Collegium Japan, Table Music Baroque Orchestra (Canada), The Bach Ensemble, Seattle Baroque Orchestra and Concerto Copenhagen. She gives master classes in several different places in the world and also teaches at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm (for a more detailed presentation, see https://www.bach-cantatas.com/Bio/Yamahiro-Mime.htm). This is her first appearance in Allhelgonakyrkan.
