Beethoven and others
Bengt Forsberg and friends
This year Friends of Chamber Music at Allhelgonakyrkan are inviting you to a ”web festival” (under menu alternative Play) instead of the traditional summer festival with four days of concerts in the beautiful church.
For the first time KVAH has had to cancel its annual summer festival in 2020. It would have been called Beethoven Variations and will instead be given next year. As a different replacement, we offer a "web festival" consisting of five shorter concerts.
Two of the concerts have been available since the beginning of summer, three additional concerts were published at the beginning of August when the festival would have taken place, see Play. We wanted to give an impression of what it is like to go to a concert in Allhelgonakyrkan, and therefore they contain personal introductions from the musicians in Swedish and you can read program comments from members of the association's board in advance, also in Swedish.
Beethoven's music is available in the web concerts as well as Swedish romance songs with Anne Sofie von Otter who has so often been a welcome guest with us, and in conclusion a central work in romantic chamber music: César Franck's violin sonata, performed by Nils -Erik Sparf and Bengt Forsberg. As our festivals often consisted of five concerts, it was possible to gather in one's own home and "take in" one concert per day, comparing the impressions with the program texts. We hope to see you again in real life in the church soon!
