Treitler String Quartet, which at this concert was made up of Oscar Treitler, violin, Bartosz Cajler, violin (substituting for Caroline W Treitler), Albin Uusijärvi, viola (substituting for Jonna Inge) och Filip Graden cello, is a young Swedish string quartet with a passion for sharing the rich quartet repertoire with a wide audience. Quartet members met at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and after studying abroad at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Indiana University, USA and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, reunited in Stockholm in 2012 to immerse themselves in the quartet repertoire. Since then, they have made high-profile appearances at festivals around Sweden such as Music at Lake Siljan, the Vinter Festival, the Södertälje Chamber music festival and our own Festival in 1916 featuring French music . Concerts throughout Europe include a recital at Villa Tapiola, Helsinki, and a recital in Conway Hall, London. The Quartet's performances have made a big impression on audiences and critics, and their playful and energetic style has been likened to the legendary Freskkvartetten. 2017 the quartet received a fellowship from the Gålö Trust.
