Nearby you can read about KVAH’s annual festival, which this year encompasses daily concerts 25–28 August. We celebrate anniversaries: Hugo Alfvén and others who were born 150 years ago, one who was 50 years their senior and one who was 50 years younger. Together we believe they throw light on a time of rapid change in music history at the beginning of the 20th century that still has a strong impact on today’s concert life.

Less than two weeks after the festival we start our autumn season. Hear are dates and a little about the contents of the concerts we plan (with reservation for changes). All concerts begin 18.00:

• Friday 9 September. Kati Raitinen and Bengt Forsberg in cello sonatas by Maria Bach, Rita Strohl and Henriette Bosmans
• Saturday 8 October. Winners of the 2021 edition of the Swedish competition “Young & Promising” Theo Hillborg and Julia Isaksson, saxophone and piano (”Duo Julia & Theo”)
• Saturday 29 October. Staffan Mårtensson (clarinet), Susanna Stern (soprano), Bengt Forsberg (piano) and a string quartet in music by Crusell, Weber a.o.
• Friday 4 November. Music by Bo Linde. Bengt Forsberg a.o. Exclusively for KVAH members (free concert)
• Saturday 3 December. Our traditional Christmas concert, this year with Elin Rombo, Olle Persson, Bengt Forsberg and master of ceremony Pär Trehörning
• Saturday 10 December. Bengt Forsberg, Tale Olsson and Erik Wahlgren celebrate César Franck on his 200th birthday
• Friday 30 December. Oskar Ekberg in Messiaen’s Vingt regards sur l’enfant Jesus.

Tickets will be sold by Ticketmaster in advance of each concert, and also in Allhelgonakyrkan directly before. Members have the benefit of a 50 kr reduction of ticket prices. People under 26 have free entrance (except 3 December).
