Allhelgonakyrkans interiör

The oldest and most established magazine of record reviews, UK-based Gramophone, in its July issue has joined the chorus of praise for the recording of piano quintets made by Bengt Forsberg and friends in connection with a concert at Allhelgonakyrkan in 2017. Bengt together with Nils-Erik Sparf, Ulf Forsberg, Ellen Nisbeth and Andreas Brantelid then played rarely performed works by Georgy Catoires and Ignaz Friedman from the 1910s, and the reviewer calls the Bis CD "a fascinating addition to the quintet discography". The half-page long review is complemented through another half-page with a photo of Bengt and his responses to four questions about the works and his relation to them. He describes them in a way which should make anyone curious about them: wonderfully written for the instruments, but quite different: Friedman's drama and poetry, Catoire's ecstasy and utmost sensitivity...
