For this concert the quartet consists of: Patrik Swedrup and Henrik Peterson, violin, Arne Stenlund, viola and Klas Gagge, cello. Bengt Forsberg, piano, has achieved a unique position in the musical life of Sweden as a pianist, chamber musician and accompanist, including a long collaboration with Anne Sofie von Otter. He has recorded many CDs, many of which have received international prizes such as Grammy and Gramaphone's Record of the Year. The last few years Bengt has recorded several CDs featuring woman composers. "Neglected works for piano" is one and together with Cecilia Zilliacus and Sabina Bisholt there have been several CDs with music by Amanda Maier.
Bengt is KVAH's artistic leader and has been responsible for chamber music in Allhelgonakyrkan for more than 30 years. His repertoire is unusually broad and planning discussions with KVAH's board take up both works by little known composers and little known works by well known composers. The result is wonderful concerts with many of Sweden's finest musicians.
